Introduction: Tesla CEO Elon Musk just unveiled the Cybertruck, the company's first electric pickup truck. There will be tree versions of the truck - 250miles, 300miles, and 500miles of range - with a variety of towing capacities and 0-60 mph capabilities. Musk unveiled the truck at a cyberpunk-inspired event with many, many lasers, and even a surprise ATV.
Tesla's first-ever pick-up truck will most likely be a more prominent sign in 2021. With its abnormal shape and dystopian look, this tesla automobile could revolutionize the way people drive motor vehicles So, let's take a look at some interesting facts about Musk's latest brainchild.
Tesla Cybertruck Is Genius, and Here's Why As with anything unfamiliar and new, public opinion is always split, but it's not exactly the same on this Tesla masterstroke. Hate it or love it, the Cybertruck is revolutionary. It's clearly designed to be one of the best trucks on the market for commercial and consumer use, especially in the near future.
Polarizing is one of the perks of the Cybertruck and once fully implemented, it could be a great move from the Tesla team. Tesla's limit push with Cybertruck is insane and set to transform the automobile industry. The aim is to break the existing expectation uniquely to pave a path for a great future and a perfect way to break through is via polarizing. With polarizing, the truck can carry more, tow more, launch much, and can be much quicker. Significantly, it compares in distance travelled per tank at 500 range miles. The commercial, especially the military buyers, have been the main customer base. It arguably beat the Riviana R1T electric truck.
Don't let Cybertruck's raw and industrialist design full you. This is no ordinary pickup truck. According to musk, the truck can move like a Lamborghini and tow like a freightliner. According to the specification put out by Tesla, the Cybertruck will have an 800 horsepower engine and will be able to go from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds.
2. New exo-skeleton:
It's a known fact that the Cybertruck will share it's stainless steel exoskeleton with the start ship spacecraft. The startship is designed to withstand both the hot and freezing temperatures that space has to offer.
Tesla Cybertruck is designed with exterior shells for passenger protection and ultimate durability. In other words, it has an almost impenetrable exoskeleton, all components are made for superior endurance and strength, from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel skin to the armoured glass.
The truck's appearance follows one logic. It has an extreme planar design. It has nothing round and has no smooth edge. The truck's exoskeleton is designed from stainless steel plates made for SpaceX rockets. This enables huge cost savings, and obviating paint jobs with major structural benefits.
3. Interior Stylish:
Tesla have their own unique sense of style when it comes to interior design, and the Cybertruck is no exception. The blank dashboard and a small steering wheel coupled with the table interface give the truck the trademark Tesla aesthetic.
The Cybertruck reaches 60mph in 6.5 seconds, carries 3,500 pounds in base guise, and weighs about 7,500 pounds. Distinctive Features Musk’s Cybertruck idea was extreme; to design a truck quicker than a Porsche 911 and stronger than an F-150. His major aim was to have comparative advantages over two prominent products.
4. Bullet-proof :
We've already discussed Tesla's new exo-skeleton and how it will be made out of the same material as the startship aircraft, so it's no surprise that the truck will be able to withstand 9mm ammunition that is commonly used in both handguns and machine guns.
The design of the Tesla Cybertruck was interesting, but the biggest blunder during its reveal wasn't about the electric pickup truck's unusual styling – it's when the windows broke when it wasn't supposed to, during the window strength demo.
The windows are supposed to be extremely strong, but that demo went bad as the windows broke during its strength demo on stage – which shouldn't be the case, as you might suspect. Musk's latest tweet shows what should have happened during the demo. Musk is pretty optimistic about the incident based on his tweet, despite the negativity that Tesla received after failing an on-stage demonstration. We could only imagine what he felt that night, thinking that everything should work just fine after seeing this off-stage trial. Well, that's just the way it is, especially if you're doing something live. The Cybertruck is a promising electric pickup truck on paper. It has a maximum range of 500 miles, plus its top-spec variant should be able to sprint from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds. It also has a 3,500-pound payload capacity and the capability to tow up to 14,000 pounds.
Tesla Cybertruck has pushed some design limits in the automobile industry to the extent that the previously controversial idea had been adopted by industry standards as the norm. This Cybertruck is so bold, extreme, and polarizing that no automobile company would dare to copy the design. In other words, Tesla Cybertruck designs are too unique and represent the high standards the company is known for.
Also, Tesla integrated many technologies into one offering. Cybertruck has the same stainless steel alloy used at Musk’s sister company, SpaceX. The truck has lithium-ion batteries, hardware, and software for self-driving, plus a solar roof choice to boost the truck’s range. According to Musk, Cybertruck isn't designed to blend in, it was manufactured to be extreme and break from the norm.
Cybertruck can seat six adults. The built-in air compressor lets the truck outperform the other trucks in the market. Moreover, the truck's huge battery pack is especially fitted for V2G use. As hinted, the truck has a 120 volt/240 volt AC power outlet that could power homes at blackouts.
In another vein, because of its size and weight, the truck might be less efficient than the electric passenger cars available now. But when compared to other non-electric trucks, it would be better due to the inherent efficiency of electric vehicles and aerodynamics. It is important to add that the truck's interior is roomy while featuring the 17-inch signature central touchpad.
