The 2024 Honda Prologue is an all-new electric SUV set to go on sale in 2024. It's a joint venture with GM, which means this Honda runs on the Ultium platform. There's a roomy interior, 21" wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and ...that's really all we know at the moment. But we suspect a FWD version, this one shown is AWD, and it should have similar range and power specs as the Chevy Blazer EV.
First look at the exterior and interior styling of the all-new 2024 Honda Prologue battery-electric SUV that will come to market in North America in 2024. The Prologue design features clean and simple "Neo-Rugged" exterior and interior styling and ample interior space that’s ready for adventure inside and outside the city limits.
Introduction: The Honda design team based in Los Angeles is responsible for leading the exterior and interior styling of the all-new Prologue. A young team of designers set out to create a modern and fresh SUV, with clean and simple surfacing. Neo-rugged was coined as the design direction, bringing the harmony of nature’s elements to the exterior and interior of Prologue. This design direction is reflected in details like the panoramic roof and large 21-inch wheels, which give the model a capable and planted exterior. The front fascia is influenced by the distinctive exterior of the ground-breaking Honda e EV model.
The Prologue will be available in an exclusive North Shore Pearl exterior colour which was inspired from the natural beauty and colours near Lake Tahoe in California. Moreover, the visual of fresh fallen snow on the mountains was used to inspire the exclusive charcoal and light grey interior colour. To further build the Honda EV brand identity, the "H-mark" badge on the rear of the vehicle is replaced with the full Honda brand name in a stylized typeface that captures the modern and clean design of the Prologue. In addition, to align with Honda’s global EV models, Prologue will adopt the brand’s e: series name badging. The 2024 Prologue SUV, Honda’s second attempt at an EV after the ill-fated Clarity sedan, appears to be on track. This time around, the company’s efforts promise to be competitive thanks to a joint development agreement with General Motors. Some details are still hazy, such as the powertrain and driving range, but now that Honda has released official images we can see Prologue’s styling and interior appointments, and get a sense of its overall size. It will sit above the CR-V in the Honda line-up and is similar in dimensions to the mid-size Passport. The exterior design is handsomely understated. The Prologue pictured sports 21-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and simple LED lighting elements. Inside, it pulls design cues from other Honda models, including an upright tablet-style infotainment display, a streamlined dashboard design, and a clutter-free centre console. The Prologue will ride on a platform developed jointly with General Motors; it will use versions of the Ultium battery packs already powering GM’s new EVs, including the Blazer EV—with which the Prologue appears to share components.
While there are clues to the Prologue’s Chevrolet roots in the interior, Honda has done well to infuse the cabin with a design that looks recognizable as one of its own. Its simplified dashboard design has none of the flourishes we can see in the Blazer EV, neither the Chevy’s round vents, brightly coloured surfaces, nor tilted infotainment display. Instead, the Honda’s layout mirrors that of the Civic compact sedan and Passport SUV, with a clutter-free design rendered in muted tones. Honda says the Prologue’s wheelbase is 8.0-inches longer than the CR-V’s and that the EV model is 5.0-inches wider too, so we’re expecting a roomier cabin with additional space for cargo
Standing tall and proud in the middle of the Prologue’s dashboard is an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. We aren’t sure if the system will run a version of Honda’s latest software interface or if it will switch to a reskinned version of GM’s Google-based system. In either case, we expect features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in-dash navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a wireless smartphone charging pad to be available. The 11.0-inch digital gauge display shown in the photos is also likely to be standard...
